Also on Friday, Junie had her first ski lesson. When I came to watch the end of the lesson at 3pm, I could see and hear June screaming a bit. I had a sinking feeling that she had hated the experience. Turns out she really enjoyed skiing but was utterly exhausted. By the time they let the parents retrieve the kids at 3:30, Junie was lying in the snow half-asleep. They keep the parents at a distance, so I was only able to snap a single picture of her getting a lift to the top of the hill…
Junie also took her first ice skating lesson a week ago Tuesday. The instructor made it sound like Junie wasn’t the most enthusiastic skater, but June is eager to try it again. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the event.
In news almost as significant as her first steps, Jolee had her first peanut butter and jelly sandwich last week. It comes at an age over a year earlier than June’s first one; Adrienne read that delaying the introduction of peanuts, or most foods for that matter, does not help prevent food allergies. Anyways, here she is…
Junie also had her first trip to a real sledding hill. She loved it…
getting ready to throw snow at me…
And finally, we were eating dinner at a restaurant after the Ullr Fest Parade and we had to keep the troops from melting down. As a result, Jolee got to enjoy her first french fry…
