tall friends

On Thursday, we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs with Mike, Jenny, Emmett, and Owen. They had been telling us for awhile now that we needed to see this zoo so we could feed the giraffes. I hadn’t given it much thought, but the reality of the exhibit far exceeded my expectations. It was a really unique and memorable experience. I highly recommend it.P1010883

miracle

We’ve waited a long time for this. Yesterday and today the temperature reached into the mid-sixties. It was glorious. The girls were actually able to play outside by themselves without fear of frostbite or snow burial. Then we had a pizza picnic dinner last night on the porch. It was otherworldly. Katye’s Wedding Pt. 3–The Ceremony

I saved the best for last. Here are some pictures from the ceremony and reception. Once again we had our hands full with the kids, so we snapped very few photos ourselves. Thankfully, other people managed to take some pictures…

June, Jolee, and Tim’s great niece Belle were the flower girls…47137_1516692551931_1072990235_31493738_426233_n

It was a long way down the aisle from the back of the church to the altar. We thought Jolee might make it three or four feet before requiring parental assistance, but she proved us wrong. She made it the whole way without a hitch…61349_1524085856759_1072990235_31511623_2786089_n

the reception was spectacular. The venue sat on a small bluff above the ocean. It was just how Katye wanted it; the dance floor was never empty as everyone danced into the wee hours of the night…MFM_1467 copy copy

Katye’s Wedding Pt. 2–The Beach

Some photos from the beach at Torrey Pines State Reserve. It was a little bit chilly but it was certainly nice to see a wide expanse of water—something we don’t have much of around here.
